About LODE

LODE provides training plan recommendations based on calculated training load by combining normalised external work (distance × speed) and internal physiological strain (HR-based). LODE then compares the chronic vs acute load and gives personalized recommendations that adapt to what you REALLY do, and what you REALLY feel.

From Physiotherapy Practice to Precision Running

Vanessa is a Physiotherapist by trade. With a bachelor's degree from Concordia University in Montreal in Athletic Therapy and a Master's degree in Physiotherapy from Brunel University in London, she has a front row seat to runner's injuries, needs and patterns.

Through her practice she noticed that runners from all distances struggled with managing volume. An inconsistent volume, or a mismanaged return to running after a break very often leads to pain. This is the problem she wanted to fix.

The idea for LODE came from fixing her own problem in physiotherapy practice. What tools do physios have to help return patients to loading safely? How can I track my load, internal and external to prevent injury to beging with? How can we really know the effect of one run on the body? Anyone who's ever run, even sporadically, can tell you that 5km does not always feel the same. There are so many factors inside and outside that affect the real difficulty of a run on the body. This is what LODE calculates and translates to actionable recommendations.

Why Runners Trust LODE

Discover the features that make LODE the smartest training companion for injury-free running

Dual Load Monitoring

LODE calculates both your chronic (last 28 days) and acute load (last 7 days), providing a complete picture of your training stress, not just single workouts.

Adaptive Intelligence

LODE adapts its recommendations to what you've really done. Vacations, illness, or breaks are automatically considered when planning your return to running.

Holistic Analysis

We measure both internal load (how it feels) and external load (what you physically do) to understand the real physiological effects of your runs.

Injury Prevention

Proactive monitoring of training load patterns to identify injury risk before it happens, helping you stay healthy and consistent.

Real-Time Adaptation

Dynamic adjustments based on your actual performance, fatigue levels, and recovery status for optimal training outcomes.

Personalized Goals

Custom training plans tailored to your specific targets, past training and objectives to help you stay injury free.

Training Intelligence
that makes Lode Unique

Smart Load Monitoring

Track training intensity, volume, and ACWR metrics to optimize performance while minimizing injury risk

Injury Prevention Focus

Get alerts when your training load enters high-risk zones based on evidence-based ACWR thresholds

Personalized Insights

Receive tailored feedback and recommendations based on your unique training patterns and history

Seamless Device Integration

Automatic data sync with Garmin (Apple coming soon) —no manual entry required

Building consistent running performance takes more than just logging miles and tracking pace.

You need smart load management, evidence-based insights, and injury prevention tools. That's where Lode comes in.

We calculate your Acute:Chronic Workload Ratio (ACWR), monitor training stress balance, and provide personalized recommendations based on your data.
